On Sunday 20th September, enter the world of British couturier Claudia Smith as Claudia Smith London presents BEYOND R.E.G.A.R.D. The Alphabet of Gems at the British Museum during London Fashion Week.
At the heart of the collection is the historic Alphabet of Gems, where precious stones were used as letters to create private messages and declarations. In R.E.G.A.R.D. each letter is represented by a gemstone Ruby, Emerald, Garnet, Amethyst, Ruby and Diamond.
Claudia reinterprets this language through couture, transforming the symbolism, richness and character of each gem into sculptural silhouettes, crystal embellishment, glass beading and meticulous hand craftsmanship.
Guests will experience the collection as Claudia intended couture as art, history and storytelling, presented within the grandeur of the British Museum.
The evening begins with an elegant champagne and canapé reception, followed by the couture show and an exclusive after-party featuring Grammy Award-winning artist DJ Black Coffee.
