Claudia Smith London is founded on the belief that couture can be both an artistic expression and a vessel for history, culture and knowledge.

The house explores the relationship between heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary expression, drawing inspiration from history, civilisation, architecture, jewellery, decorative arts, symbolism and place. Each collection begins with research.

Historical narratives, artefacts and cultural traditions are studied, interpreted and transformed through silhouette, colour, textile, embellishment and meticulous hand craftsmanship.

 

Claudia’s multi-disciplinary background is embedded within this approach.
